Meet Elyssa. She was such a sweetie to work with but as you can see in the images, she’s got some spunk. We spend the afternoon meandering our way through Old Roseville working with some great gritty backdrops. I wish her the best of luck with the upcoming audition.

Here is a cute little portrait photography session I recently did. It is an amazing thing to be able to bring out the personality of such a newly formed person. Hidden with nuances of expressions and emotions, babies are always an interesting subject.

Beauty can manifest in dramatically different ways. The naturally rugged scenes that spread out beyond the end of my lens were clearly beautiful, but so was the white-clad figure that haunts these shots. In a trash the dress shoot that was a little bit “Cinderella lost on the way to her wedding,” I allowed varying beauties to populate the same settings.

This was the second location of our trash the dress session. A stark contrast between the eerie burnt landscape of the first location, Old Town Sacramento provided a more urban feel. The great aspect of this area is the diversity of backgrounds in such a small area…the intricate design of some of the old buildings, the bold colorful walls, the industrial feel of the trains and the classic feeling of brick and ivy.
